Organoborate Salts

Organoborate Salts

The salts of organoboronic acids are called organoborate salts. Tetrabutylammonium triphenylhexylborate, tetrabutylammonium triphenylbutylborate, tetrabutylammonium and trinapthylhexylborate are some of the examples of ammonium arylborate salts. The borate anions can also form salts with metallic elements by reaction of group IA and IIA metal hydroxides with organoboron acids. Lithium difluorooxalatoborate (LiDfOB) and lithium bis-oxalato borate (LiBOB) are some of the examples of metal organoborate salts.
